THE Royal Family might have picked up a few nice heirlooms in a couple of millennia of selective breeding, but one thing they never seemed to have inherited was height. There was dumpy Queen Victoria swathed in yards of lace, tiny Charles I in his highheeled shoes -- not to mention poor Queen Anne, who was rumoured to have been wider than she was tall.
Although their courtiers would have been too polite (or too frightened) to point it out, a quick glance rolex replica through the history books reveals that few of our royals have been imposing figures without their crowns. All of which makes the strapping figures of the current generation all the more surprising -- at 6ft 3in, Prince William looks set to be the tallest monarch yet (the record has been held for seven centuries by Edward I, who inherited the throne in 1272).
